Senior Structural Engineer
Md. Mahadi Hasan is a Senior Structural Engineer at AIM and a Ph.D. candidate at BUET. His research focuses on constitutive modeling in soil mechanics, retrofitting of structures, and wave motion. He has extensive experience in both geotechnical investigations and structural design, and is also a course instructor delivering training in nonlinear seismic analysis, BNBC provisions, seismic detailing, and foundation design.
Researched seismic soil-structure interaction for tall buildings on pile-raft foundations
Designed complex shoring systems for urban deep excavations
Contributed to research on strengthening multistoried RC buildings against earthquakes
Accredited SEng by the International Code Council
M.Sc. thesis: Seismic Soil-Structure-Interaction of a Tall Building on Pile-Raft Foundation in Dhaka City
Ph.D. coursework includes constitutive modeling in soil mechanics, retrofitting of structures, wave motion, and soil-structure interaction
SEng Certificate of Recognition as Structural Engineer by ICC, 1st Batch
BNBC 2020 webinar courses under S.K. Ghosh Associates LLC (42.5 CPD hours); SEng training arranged by IEB/RAJUK-URP (138 CPD hours)
The interaction between soil and substructure is dynamic and complex. My goal is to use numerical modeling to solve these challenges with high precision.
